Very small superbright LED with only 1.8mm wide dome but exciting brightness. Best useable with smallest applications, little drill holes in front panels or all applications wgere 3mm LEDs are much to big already. Because of the wider base the LED gets good hold. The wider base further avoids outbreaking of anode or cathode from the epoxy dome. This can often happen to LEDs where the leadframe got too little pottant round itself.
