LedStyles L!VE Campaign No. 1

The LedStyles L!VE Binary Watch shows the time in a new different way by using the binary system.

The left LED column shows the hours (8-4-2-1) and the right column the minutes (32-16-8-4-2-1). Time can easily be read by adding the numbers printed beside each LED.

Animation 1: The watch has a very interesting and technical design which is a real eyecatcher to everyone. But that was not enough for us and so we included a little light animation which is played each full hour. That ensures long lasting fun with this self soldered kit.

Animation 2: If you push both buttons while switching the watch on the animation appears every full minute, too.

This construction kit includes all necessary components as well as red LED (for the hours) and blue LEDs (for the minutes). The picture galery shows possible steps of construction to give a little help. Above mentioned links also show a link to a small video regarding the light animation.

FAQ:

Q: Can I mount other LEDs?
A: Yes. If you watch the main picture and the other you can mount other LEDs, too. The controller provides 5V for each LED. The value in relation to the LED values can be used to calculate the necessary resistor for your own LED.

Q: Which housings/sizes can be mounted?
A: Every PLCC2 SMD or through hole (2pin) LED you wish.

Q: How can I adjust the brightness?
A: Every LED has its own resistor on the PCB. Change the Ohm value the change the brightness. Make sure to use at least 220 Ohm.

Q: Can I use more LEDs?
A: Yes. You have 5V per channel and can for example use two red LEDs with 2.0V.
